Update:  Added original Pecan in upper left just for reference.

So I wanted to get your input concerning Pecan when she is acting like Praline.  With her hair...which color scheme do you like more?  I had it originally like the left with making her a brunette, and darkening her highlights a little, but also was wondering what you thought of the black highlights instead of the blond.


Just let me know your thoughts.  I'm good either way.

I like it a little darker. Easier to differentiate. :)

I love both but personally I think the left works better as a sign that "hey this is a different personality "

The darker lowlights really make her look more submissive to me. I have no idea what it is about darker hair that seems submissive but it does to me anyway ;)

I like them both but I think the darker just fits her better. It makes it easier to tell them apart :)

I much prefer the look of the left: I absolutely get the point of the darker one, but the contrast is a little too jarring — I’d suggest making her highlights darker, but not *that* dark

Black highlights make it a little more obvious there is a change. Honestly couldn’t really tell at first with the blonde.

I'lll admit, blonde pecan is by00tiful, but the darker highlights definitely make it more obvious she's changed. Maybe darkening up the rest of her hair might work better than a change of the highlights? I guess it depends on how subtle or blatant you want the change to be, really. I know it was kinda tough for me to tell at first with the blonde highlights.

I like the left look better. The black makes the differences stand out more, but you can always change her skin tone, eye color, "whisker" color or spots.

I say use the darker highlights with Praline for now. But in time when Pecan herself is more accepting of her sub side, maybe you can use the original hairstyle of Praline to show that Pecan and Praline personalities have merged, you could have Pecan notice the hair change later on in the story, and she gives off one of the most heartwarming smiles she ever had to herself, and her friends, cause she's finally come to peace with her control issues, and she has her friends, and Praline to thank for that.
