Update:  After careful consideration, I've decided not to put patron names in the video.  Just seems a little too risky that maybe someone used their real name and it would be exposed.

So I got a question for ya.  I'm about to drop one of my new drawing videos.  I'm making videos both for the public, and also exclusive mature drawing vids for my patrons (the first will be for all tiers, then after that will be a new tier).

I was thinking of putting a list at the end of all my videos, with my patrons screen names as a thank you.  My only concern is if some folks are actually using their real names. ( I kinda hope not)

What do you think I should do?  I've seen other YouTubers put their patrons names on their videos, but I wanted to get your thoughts first.

I use a fake name on my account but I know some people might not be comfortable with that. I'm happy for you to use mine. It's very kind of you to ask first

Would there be a way for us to opt-in to have our names shown? Mine’s a pseudonym, of course, and I don’t mind you showing it, but I’m sure there are various folks who’d rather remain anonymous, for whatever reason

There would be a way, but I’m afraid since most people don’t comment on here, someone’s name might be exposed that they didn’t want it. So after considering it, I don’t think I’m going to put the names up. It just seems a little too risky.

How about you allow Patrons to designate a name to be put in the video?

I'd love to...but since most folks never comment here, I'd hate to have to leave them out because of possibly exposing their real name. Unfortunately, I'll have to scrap this idea. Maybe come up with something else in the future.

Maybe add the names of people who are most active on their patreon (and want their names on the video) or make some sort of shout out to people who have commented something useful or heartwarming.

I use my real name, but to be fair I think my name is about as common as it gets. Still, I can respect you for not wanting to include names as a precaution.
