The Yahei (Patreon)

A mammal like creature found on the small islands that dot the Endless Sands. It feeds on birds, their eggs, and other small animals. They're very adaptable and can climb and burrow with ease. Their are regional variants vary from island to island, with their colours and markings being different. Their manes help them brush away sand from themselves and also act as a sound dampener in the Endless Sand sea itself, allowing it to travel, at some risk, between islands. Narakyian often train them as guard pets, or as guide pets to help them through the dark.
