Narakyians, the monsters and masters of the Endless Desert, have strong, tough and huge bodies built for surviving in the harsh environment of their home. They're incredibly large, ranging from a minimum of 7'5 feet to 10'0 feet at the absolute tallest.

These large people have evolved for hunting. Though their diet can consist of wild berries and plants, they mainly eat meat, hunting the many animals that inhabit the liquid sands of the Endless Desert with claws and teeth built for ripping into flesh. Their wings are large, designed especially for lifting on the warm desert air to cross hundreds of miles without touching the ground and to quickly catch up with prey. Because of their size they struggle to turn quickly however, often having to bank for long distances to turn around fully in midair. Two sharp claws tip the wings which Narakyian will sometimes use to puncture their larger prey by swooping down in hunting.

Their claws on their hands especially are tough and sharp. They grow quickly and are always black, though sometimes they paint them for special occasions. Surprisingly, it's been noted that their bones are jet black. Their fangs are equally sharp, though unusually white compared to everything else. Their fangs break and fall away easily but they're able to regrow them usually within a month or two. Their skin is rough, easily able to take most blows, especially from sharp objects like each others' claws. Their wounds heal quickly as a result and its not unusual to see a Narakyian, even one that's not a warrior, to have multiple scars across their body from social fight or a sexual encounter.

They have incredibly sharp hearing, easily able to hear large animals shifting beneath the sands at a distance. Surprisingly though their vision is quite poor in comparison to the other races and they especially struggle to see at night, being practically blind. Narakyian will even forgo flying at night for fear of bumping into things and a lot of their cities are lit very brightly at night for this reason.

Their horns are very diverse and come in varying sizes, depending on the parentage. But they always ridged and curved, never being straight or smooth and always come in a pair, never two and are always tipped in black. A broken horn in Narakyian is considered a great sin as they're nearly always broken intentionally to denote a serious crime. Their skin colours are equally diverse, ranging from bright purples to dusky greens. Common colours include greys, and browns, with less common including cooler colours like greens and yellows. In the warmer more habitable zone closer to the Beacon, skin colours tends to be brighter, with warmer colours. Specific skin colours, especially reds and oranges, especially the more saturated types tend to denote noble or royal heritages though not always necessarily and Narakyian tend not to view skin colour as an absolute necessity in noble culture. Their markings are sharp usually rising up the sides of the body, though sometimes in the middle and range from a slightly darker shade of skin tone to pitch black in some cases.

Their tails are long and whip-like, and are extremely strong and versatile. They're easily able to pick each other up with their tails and it's not uncommon to see them carry things with them even when flying. A lot of their emotion comes through their tails unconsciously, happy Narakyians have tails that sway and twitch at the top while upright and unhappy Narakyians will often snap their tails against the ground in anger creating a unique striking noise.

There is little sexual dysmorphism between the genders, with height and strength being equally the same with only males tending to have slightly larger manes. Their hair and manes tend to be similar to their skin colour, though often darker. Some Narakyian have unusual shocks of white hair that seem to either spontaneously appear across populations or arising and staying within families for a few generations. Though the hair on their heads tends to be rather soft, their manes and the fluff at the end is very unruly and wiry and Narakyian spend a good amount of time grooming themselves to keep it in check.
Staying focused on my giant Narakyians for the moment. I may swoop back round for the other races soon enough but please enjoy the worldbuilding!
