It's now been over a year since I heard In Search of the Lost Chord, and I definitely wanted to include The Moody Blues in The Extended Play Lounge this year. So, I'm pleased to offer this first time listen of the 1969 4th album from The Moody Blues as a 'Doug's Choice'

It's an understated album, but it's a very lovely and warm listen...and it still sparkles with that Moody Blues magic. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you, Doug. This album came out when I was in junior high and I played it to death. Truly my favorite Moody's album. And I had the privilege of living around the corner from Graeme Edge from 2010 until 2016. Used to see him walking around the neighborhood or driving his blue Jag. Thanks, again.

Looking forward to you doing A Question of Balance. A bit of a change, as they wanted an album of songs that they could perform live. A bit simpler in orchestration, but with some incredible songs.

Bought this album on spec. pretty much when it came out, and thought my investment sound for a considerable time. However while some decent songs and production remain now, some of its portentous ambitions and linkages have not worn well on my ear.
