Hi y’all! The Fan Favorites channel over on our Discord is live and ready for your submissions for the upcoming October episode of Fan Favorites! REMEMBER: Fan Favorites submissions are ONLY accepted via our Fan Favorites channel on The Daily Doug Discord. Any recommendations made in comments here will NOT be considered.

This Month’s Theme: Diamonds in the Rough – International Edition

I have loved the previous two Diamonds in the Rough videos, because of the exposure I got to wonderful artists I may otherwise have never come across. With the same intent of searching for worthy music from under-appreciated, lesser known artists, we are taking the search global! There is no specific musical genre that we are limiting you to. The goal is to listen to the music that moves you, from musicians outside of North America, Europe, the British Isles…basically, we are looking for music outside of the typical Western music traditions that we tend to hear and focus on so much. Here are just a couple of examples of types of music that fit well in this month’s theme:

· Music from Indigenous communities

· Folk/traditional music from a country (such as Japanese folk music, Indian folk music, traditional Brazilian music, etc)

· Middle Eastern music

· African music

There are so many options to choose from, which we know makes it a bit difficult to narrow things down, and we know that you all will have a lot of questions and may wonder if a song or piece of music that you are considering will be a good fit for this month’s theme.

If you have an idea for a submission, and you are wondering if it fits with this month’s Fan Favorites theme, please send a DM directly to me, either here on Patreon or on Discord, and I will let you know if your submission idea is a good fit for this month’s theme.

🚨 RULES/INFO:

· Add your submissions directly in the #fan-favorites channel on Discord

· The submission needs to be a publicly available YouTube video **with less than 250K views**

· Avoid songs previously covered on the channel or Patreon

· The song should be **less than** 10 minutes in length

· Only one submission per person

· Patreon Poll Starts: Saturday, October 21
