Since we've been listening to classic albums from the 60's and 70's lately on the Extended Play Lounge, I'm switching it up to a poll including albums released since 2000. The albums on this list represent some on our current Master List and some that I'm personally quite interested in.

Vote for your favorite choice!

The Poll will run through November 3, and I'll likely record the episode on the 4th or 5th.

Hopefully Opeth will come out the winner!

Doug should really listen to Deliverence (the track not the album) right before listening to Damnation to get a feel for how much of a shock this album was to fans when it dropped 4 months later. :)

John Clark

Time for the good doctor to delve into Clutching at Straws from Marillion, I think.

Jean-Michel LaFontaine

It won't win but Love, Fear and the Time Machine deserves an EPL at some point.

It's too bad my favorite album from Riverside (also regularly locked into the car stereo) is in last place. Guess I'll have to prepare for something unfamiliar

Great Scott

Don't know any of those bands, so not going to pollute by voting at random or for the underdog or most popular...

You're missing out on Neal Morse Band. Doug already did a listen to the Similitude of a Dream, which is the first double concept album...The one listed above is a follow up album and continuation of that story. I highly suggest you check out episode #18 though, you are really missing out on one of the greatest concept albums of all time! (Thank you for not skewing voting results too!) Cheers!

Damnation of Opeth. All Pink Floyd fan should love this album.

I can point you to what you maybe interested in since I am very familiar with 4 out of the 5. Here is a few songs you can sample from each to see what the rest of the album would be like. Big Big Train - Last Train, NMB - The Great Adventure - title track, Riverside - Discard Your Fear, Opeth - Windowpane. I'm not familiar with the new Marillion as much.

Lets go for Opeth.

Riverside....yes....[it won't win]

Justin Humberger

I've never really listened to them although I've heard of them. Is that a concept album?

.....it depends on which album you play. I think they have 7...ALL good
