Important Update regarding the Patreon 2.0 roll-out (Patreon)

Hey y'all! This video is a companion to the messages that went out to all patrons this morning. We're pleased to announce that the current tiers will NOT be deleted, and that you can choose to stay at your current tier level for as long as you'd like without a raise in price. Please let me know if you have lingering questions or concerns.

We'll follow-up again in early February as the new tiers go live. As always, please be in touch if you have questions. Cheers!

Thanks Terry. That's a good point. I have made Behind the Score Episode 11 and The Daily Doug Live Episode 11 available to ALL patrons so that you can get a glimpse into what the content in these other tiers are like.

I'm really happy about this--I can't afford to upgrade now, but keeping the old tiers means I'll be able to stay on and hopefully upgrade later. Thanks for keeping the best interests of your community at heart!!

Doug: can you explain what you mean by "Fan Favorites" and how that differs from other content? Extended Play Lounge is voted for by fans, so presumably those are already some of our favorite albums.

Sure. This will be a separate series also voted on by fans. Many folks have put forth suggestions of lesser-commercially successful bands that I haven't been able to get on the main channel as we are in a growth mode. This new series is a way for me to not let these great suggestions slide by. This will be one video a month (near the end of the month) that will focus on the most supported 'diamond in the rough' suggestions from our patrons. It will take the place of one of the Behind the Score vids each month.

Dr. Doug, for those of us on the current Tier 3, since we're losing one episode of Behind the Score, will we get access to Fan Favorites instead if we stay at Tier 3?

Question, if a Tier 3 patron upgrades now to Tier 4 before February, will we be included with those who have already been Tier 4 folks? I think I can justify another $1/month for Tier 4 access, but I think an additional $4/month for the same access would be a bit difficult.

Yes. You'll be 'grandfathered' into whatever tier you're currently in as we get to February.
