I know this isn't a very exciting / interesting post, but I had this page of "self" doodles going back to September that I just never posted anywhere.

Fun fact about my wee squib-self, my l'il cephalosona? I first created it as an easy stand-in for myself in order to be better separated from my OCs. It is always bewildering and offputting to me when someone accuses / assumes having a main OC that you're very attached to makes them a "self-insert." It's always been such a wildly inaccurate comparison for me because I'm the sort that loves that thick separation between character and writer, fantasy and reality. My aegosexual-ass ain't into self-inserting as I don't like stuff applied to me, I like them applied to these hyperspecific jackass characters I fleshed out to my tastes! It's like being a director to one's actors, or perhaps more shamefully accurate, a weird little voyeuristic pervert sitting in an armchair as I instruct my creations to get nasty for my amusement.
  POINT IS, it's interesting for me to look back and remember where some of my little go-to art comforts came from. Something that started as a simple distinction between one's self and one's art, is now my happiest shitpost.
