While this was TECHNICALLY a patron request, I was just so inspired by the concept, so SMITTEN, I went and let myself just have such a TIME with this! It's been awhile since I sat down and just soaked into what I was working on. Took my time, considered all my ideas (and oh there's so many MANY cool creative things I can do with this aesthetic), and I think the results are better for it. Honestly I could have worked on this forever, playing with all the little details, considering how many ways I can approach, etc. As a bonus, I wanted to include all the WIPs and side-sketches that went into that I've been sharing in the discord server! It's easier to update my progresses and shares sketches on there without fear that I'm blowing up everyone's email notifications, lol. Know that you're always welcome to lurk, no pressure to chat, it's just a nifty easy to spy fresh stuff!

ANYWAY! What's the lore on this?!
Mmmm....well, half a secret, half to be revealed at a later date, told throughout the journey of art! Though, mayhaps there is a smidgen of it that has to do with the wonderfully overwhelming world of narrative possibilities for these manner of things. Both from a story standpoint and a fetishistic one. Layne Raine was terribly famous in his time, obscenely so, and there was no denying the marketable appeal that companies desperately tried to eternally milk. Such a shame he died, right? Absolutely legendary performer, no one quite like 'em, never there to be another Layne Raine....
