Weekend Wankshop 34: RIP Justin Lowe of After the Burial

Twitter/instagram @BenEllerGuitars Hey chums! Time for a brand spankin' new installment of Weekend Wankshop, here with your uncle Ben Eller. This week, we will be paying tribute to Justin Lowe of After the Burial, who very sadly succumbed to demons of mental illness this week. It's very very sad to see anyone leave us that young, especially someone as talented and awesome as Justin. My heart goes out to his friends, family, fans, and bandmates at this time. BUT, we should be celebrating the life and music of our fallen friend! I'm sure that's what his bandmates in AtB and Justin himself would have wanted. So, this week, we are taking a look at the completely lethal sweep arpeggio section of their song "My Frailty"! This one features a bunch of different major and minor sweeps all across the board. Tons of fun to play. Get a slice of these tasty licks and shred up a storm!!! Mental illness is no joke; many, MANY people are conquered by their own mental illnesses all over the world, in all walks of life. Help it out there for those who need it... some of us need a pill to take, some of us need a person to talk to and share with. Whatever helps you out is good. There are numerous free programs out there to help anyone going through battles with all forms of mental illnesses. If you're going through some shit, please don't hesitate to reach out to someone and tell them about it, and if someone you love is going through some shit, talk with them and try to get them some help before its too late. I included some links at the end of this video, but just in case, i'll include them here, too. Check out these sites, and they can all provide you directly with someone to talk with, or a way to connect with someone who can help in your area. Seek help if you need it!!!! www.nami.org www.healthyplace.com www.samhsa.gov www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org , or call them for free at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) Thank you all for watching, and RIP Justin Lowe! You live on through the music you made and the people you inspired.
