Hey y'all! I had a request to repost the TAB on this oldie, so i'm happy to oblige. Good timing, too, as Andy and i have been in the studio working on his new album for the past couple weeks! I really think we are doing something super special here... is there any behind the scenes stuff you'd like to see?

Talking "Forgotten Secrets" with Andy Wood! | Weekend Wankshop 218

https://www.patreon.com/BenEllerGuitars instagram @BenEllerGuitars / @AndyWoodMusic facebook.com/unclebeneller Check out Andy Wood's brand new album "Junktown" on all streaming platforms now! I play all the dang bass guitar on it! Hey kids! Its Uncle Ben, here with special guest, my main man Andy Wood! As you guys who follow us know, Andy just released a brand new instrumental record called "Junktown", which features some mighty fine playing across 10 tunes that range from fusion shred to hillbilly madness. "Forgotten Secrets" is the 2nd track on the record, and features a ton of interesting ideas that i thought would be perfect to tackle on Weekend Wankshop 218! In this lesson, we are going to show you how to play that awesome percussive muted main riff, as well as something a little more challenging, the awesome arpeggio section that is featured later in the song! This is a great thing to learn to improve your cross picking and arpeggio playing concepts. To REALLY get your alternate picking chops in shape, don't forget to watch Andy Wood's contributions to Troy Grady's amazing Cracking the Code series! We are both playing lovely Suhr guitars, Andy using his signature model, and me on my Modern Satin. Best guitars ever. He's using a Suhr Hedgehog, and i'm playing through the EVH 5150 III. Thanks for watching! Be sure to let me know what you think about the album in the comments below!

Third time watching it, just to play along. I love the song and I love to play this! Did I ever thank you for this video? It made me check out live versions to transcribe even more of it. And if I'm not mistaken, I even learned the follow up lick from Andy's channel?! But he plays it live with different fingerings sometimes. More proof that Andy's a MONSTER improvisor!
