By request! Here's another oldie from the dry erase board TAB days.

Ya know, sometimes i get complaints from people about the handwritten tabs, but myself, (especially now that he's gone) when i see the handwritten TABs my teacher Ben Franklin used to send me home with, it really warms my cold dead heart. Whole lot more personality and memory tied to those than a guitar pro file, know what i mean? But then, i am a sentimental old fart so what do i know hahaha

Enjoy! And drop any other John 5 suggestions, i know a lot of y'all love his playing!

How to play John 5 style banjo guitar rolls! Weekend Wankshop lesson 177

TAB: #weekendwankshop177 on instagram! www.facebook.com/unclebeneller instagram @BenEllerGuitars Skype lessons? email BenEllerGuitars@gmail.com yo guys! By request, Uncle Ben Eller here is gonna break down something you all have been asking for for a long time... John 5's signature banjo guitar rolls! Most of you all know John 5 from his solo band, plus his time playing live and in the studio with Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and many others. On Weekend Wankshop 177, i'm going to be giving you all a lesson on that hillbilly hootenanny HeeHaw style series of telecaster banjo rolls in the key of G that we've heard John play in numerous interviews (like the Hello Kitty guitar styles video). This is definitely influenced by John's love of HeeHaw and classic country and bluegrass music. Its all played fingerstyle, and has some of the hallmark progressions of old timey bluegrass tunes. There are two different picking patterns, so be sure to learn them both and apply them to chord progressions and arpeggios of your own! Ibanez Talman Kemper Profiler

+1 on the tabs. My Guitar teacher (20 year Nashville studio musician) would make me write out my own tabs in pencil as we worked through lessons. Its feels more organic and burns those notes into your brain. PS: A white board would have been great-LOL.

I hear the DOD Grunge pedal, but what model Ibanez is that Gootar?
