I started with bar chords. Knowing the bar chords on 6th & 5th string ... and then the first string exact as 6th... then went from there... Using a cycle of fourths backing track video on youtube playing chugga chugga chords... then I moved from there to smaller chords and triads... it's like rhythm practice and note learnin' location all in one...just remember the enharmonic equivalents Gflat=F#... Dflat=C#... Aflat=G#... Most likely, those vids are set up for horn players...
