Its your good buddy Uncle Ben here with another Weekend Wankshop lesson! On today's episode, i'm gonna give you all a note-for-note lesson on how to play Kirk Hammet's amazing solo from Struggle Within, from Metallica's legendary Black Album!!! I really feel like if you want to know all of the stuff Kirk does, you should learn this solo; its got his pentatonic stuff, his wah pedal use, his legato, pull-offs to open strings, everything! Quite possibly his best solo on their self-titled album. Standard tuning, lots of fun, not as hard as it sounds. I'm using my Suhr Modern Satin and Fractal Axe FX III on the Petrucci "learning to lead" preset.It sounds so good!!!!
