Hypernotes Scorch Delay (Patreon)

It is with no small amount of regret that we announce a further delay in the publication of Hypernotes Scorch. After more than an 8 week delay, we received the books on Monday.

Upon opening the boxes to begin QC we were surprised to find every book individually shrink wrapped, something we never requested nor were consulted about. After removing the wrap we uncovered a host of QC issues apparently directly tied to incredibly shoddy glue work by our printer. What's worse is that is appears we are dealing with a printer who knew these issues were present and attempted to conceal them from us by shrink wrapping the product.

We've attached a few examples of QC fails so you can see why we are rejecting these books. The spots on the one page appear to be a glue residue that is on every odd number page of 70% of the 300 books we received. We discovered actual torn edges on the top of some pages, often hidden inside the books. Finally, the poor glue work on the covers left many spots and in some cases, tears in the cloth bound cover which the printer attempted to conceal by using sharpie marker to cover them in.

We know how passionate everyone here is for Black Powder Red Earth, We simply couldn't do a fraction of what we are doing without your support. It means everything to us. Accordingly, we cannot in good conscience ship these books in this condition. 

We are sending our files out for quote to 2 other printers we work with, one of which has been doing our monthly prints since we started and is definitely capable of delivering this quality.

Rest assured, everyone who has been at the Kinetic, Avalanche, Jackpot or Surveillance(for 2 months) since we announced the book in December, is getting a book (assuming your address is accurate in your Patreon account).
