Theory, the end credit of Shang-Chi takes place at the same time as this. The reason Captain Marvel left the conversation was a message or beacon from the bracelet. Just a theory.

The one thing we know is that they switch places. Why we don't know why. More to learn about the bracelet and the connection between Carol, Kamala and Monica. The Bracelet is most likely Kree tech (connection to Carol). The had a lot of issues with editing the episodes as they were filming in the middle of the pandemic. A lot of the Clandestines story got left on the cutting room floor.

⚡️I get the creeping Marvel fatigue and the concerns about the pay and working conditions for employees of the contracted vfx companies. I even get the criticism of the pacing and writing of almost every show. But I'm not completely convinced that fewer shows will inevitably result in "better" shows. Budget limitations and simple creative choices will always have an impact. Some of the same criticisms have been leveled at some Marvel movies that had huge budgets and long production cycles. I'm not criticizing your comments - they are shared by many, many people and I do appreciate quality. I think I'm more forgiving because I grew up with the comics and I'm thrilled to see them on screen. And growing up as a young African-American kid when almost all the characters were white American men, the current broader representation is wonderful to me.
