I've been trying really hard to be better about laying down all dialogue before doing any finished art (to prevent anything important/fun being covered) — but it's still deeply sad to me every time I have to cover up Cameron's legs.

I think the final panel of this page was truly where I realized I love Cameron and drawing Cameron, he is a delight to me.

Kind of related, but I have this conversation with Ananth occasionally and I wanted to share the thought: as a creator it's important to love your antagonists!! If you don't find the "bad" people in your stories interesting, your readers won't either. It's a personal exercise of mine to find something lovable about every antagonistic character in everything I do; I want to be excited every time each reoccurring character shows up and I have to draw them.
In general, I don't want anything in my stories to be "vegetables," nothing should be a slog to get through for the creator or reader. Everything should have at least one thing going on that makes it exciting or sexy or fun or surprising!

This is a personal mantra and of course YMMV, but this is the way I like to think about my work! I hope it comes through to readers!

Cameron has the vibes of the icky guys I was aware of in high school... Whom I also had physical attraction to from afar while thinking they're trash people. It's such a line to straddle! But also, dat butt.
