One way to help the anger you're feeling is think about who to aim it at. They are having pretty realistic relationship problems, especially for people from different class/race brackets. Also for two teenagers with their first boyfriends. Miscommunication is normal and mistakes are made while they try to do their best for their families. They have deep love for each other and have only just started fully dating. So now the problems that will arise in a relationship like this are coming up. I see the care they have for each other in that they are both not fully informing the other person about how much they're hurting in private. Outside influences are taking up too much space . They are not yet able to just have a fun, teenage dating experience. Often deep love and care for each other can overcome natural obstacles in a relationship. However I've never known anyone who's dated a celebrity or a royal so I would not know how best to go along with dating them and remaining as myself. Also, bare in mind the person Simon was when Wille first met him and fell in love with him. An outspoken boy with a beautiful voice, standing up for the marginalised in society and saying that the monarchy draws more from society than the poor. Simon fell in love with kind, considerate Wille who was not like all the entitled kids at this school. He stood out for not buying into his status as being more important. Hope this helps.

Billy, you have every right to your opinion. I don’t know if I’m expressing myself correctly but I think Simon is trying to hold onto part of his life and his beliefs. Unfortunately some of his beliefs are different from the Royal family’s beliefs. He’s also concerned about his Mom’s wellbeing. Yes, Wilhelm is going through important challenges too. A big part of being in a relationship is learning how to find some kind of balance between the challenges if possible. Wilhelm and Simon are still so young having to figure out these lessons that it can take years for many of us to learn. That’s my take on it and Lord knows that I’m no expert.
