Commission for @jayne_poke

I actually asked the artist, NAWKA, a direct question while I was working on this commission.

I said, "I love the way you draw your furs and I'm referring to them, may I ask you to share your technique?"

They were kind enough to react to my DM. As you can see from their work, they have several different fur painting patterns. But they don't seem to use a specific brush, they just paint and shave repeatedly with whatever brush seems to fit the spot until they are satisfied. So, what brushes they use is just a matter of time, and they forget what they used.

Another interesting story that I heard was that most of their works are not finished because they are satisfied with the final product, but because they cannot spend any more time on this work due to their schedule.

I confess that I have not completed all of my previous works with a sense of satisfaction. There have been some works that I was frustrated because I got lost in a maze of thoughts and could not make a satisfactory work.

But NAWKA taught me that this was important. Most of the time it does not work to keep brushing up one work even if you are not satisfied with it. They said that rather than continuing to work painstakingly on one piece of work, they would much rather use that time to work on a second or third piece of work and improve it. They said that it allows them to see things from a different perspective, and it is easier to take advantage of previous feedback.

(He used his past self-produced music as an example.)

NAWKA reminded us of the importance of moving forward step by step, rather than achieving all our goals with one thing.

Of course, this work was no compromise. The strategic retreat they refer to does not end with a throwaway, but rather with a clean end, properly put together in shape.
