The new version of HC2 is out !

Changes:


QUEST SYSTEM

Queen

  • You can now visit the Queen at the Central Square inside the City.
  • Three quests will be available daily, each one with a different difficulty and reward.
  • Once a quest has been chosen, you can't choose another one until the current one is completed or you give up on it.
  • Giving up on the current quest costs one Favor, free if you don't have any, but you'll have to come back the next day for the new quest rotation.
  • You can check you current check progression at the Status screen.
  • Refining quests are available once the player has the appropriate perk.

Favor

  • When completing a quest, your hero will be awarded with the new currency, Favor. The amount varies depending on the quest difficulty.
  • Favors can be redeemed with the Queen, she has a limited supply of items that rotates and renew every seven days. These items include new and unique buffs.


REWORKED SHOP UI

  • You can now buy and sell materials at the same time, the game takes into consideration the amount of materials in the hero's possession to calculate the total value of the transaction.
  • This new shop was implemented in both, the Blacksmith and Janna.
  • Gold and material icons were added.


REWORKED CHARMED DEBUFF

  • Charmed debuff was too similar to Aroused, so it got reworked.
  • Charmed is now stackable from 1 to 10, each new stack decrease Addiction Checks by 10%.
  • This means that if you have Charmed 10, all addiction checks will be set to 1.
  • Rei, Charlotte, Gabby and Liz were tweaked to accomodate the rework.


OTHERS

  • Added 2 new Enemies: Chelsea, the Ballet Sisters
  • Added 2 new Bad Endings
  • Added 2 new Achievements
  • Added a new blowjob sfx


BALANCE STUFF

  • Decreased Esperanza CON quick-checks 50 > 30
  • Decreased Esperanza HP 380 > 350
  • Esperanza now gradually applies debuffs on the player instead of doing lust attacks


BUG FIXES

  • Fixed addiction check modifiers not being displayed properly
  • Fixed Liz sex sfx not playing
  • Fixed Gabrielle and Lexi sex sfx not stopping
  • Fixed Marian stealing gold indefinitely

Played some more, kind of wasting a really strong run on fishing Caroline's BE out. Well, not really wasting, since I wanted to get that BE and since hypnosis is very fitting for HC, but in hindsight I'd have rather gone to the Tower. On the note of Caroline, the rolls text for her is very confusing, which I'm only realising now, having brought it up in a comment a version or two ago. At the moment it's something like this: Your value: 46 Recommended: 53 Click to roll a number between 0 and 53 When in reality it is Caroline rolling from 0 to 53, and you're guarding with a stat value of 46 against that - with any rolls above 46 meaning a failure for you. This is confusing when you have other checks where you are doing a low roll between 0 and your value against some difficulty thing, e.g., addiction. To reduce potential confusion, I suggest considering a more explicit pattern for the roll text, that distinguishes the direction of the roll, if that makes sense. For instance: Caroline is doing a high roll between 0 and 53 INT You're guarding with a value of 46 You are doing a low roll between 0 and 15 anal addiction Samantha's check difficulty is 12 Also spotted some smaller things. When Gabby is naked, you need to click one additional time a blank prompt, each turn. Caroline gave me Uncontrollable Lust - I had Intoxicated proc in a Tavern job (purple room, titjob I think?) without actually working to update lust between actions. Lastly, quests could use some balancing in their frequency of appearance as the game days progress. 20+ days in, Forest clearing quests start feeling pointless, whereas 50 gold city investment is free favor when you're pulling 250+ gold per Tavern job. One random thought that's been occuring to me, to put it out there - I really liked the hero hunt quest and possessed enemies mechanics in HC1. Would be cool to see some dynamic elite enemies functionality like that return in HC2.

Two more things. Are Caroline's pendant rolls intentionally low on the first round? On most games she would roll that up to a value that was below my INT, meaning that it had 0% success chance. I get why it's more restrictive than simple INT loss, but I wonder if it would make more sense to have the minimum possible pendant roll target be your INT+1, to exclude free scenarios. When does April's (if I remember the name correctly, Swamp girl) vaginal addiction check becomes 1? Had that happen on my first fight with her, but not with the subsequent characters.
