The new version of HC2 is out !

Changes:

ARENA MODIFIERS

  • Arena now has modifiers that rotate every IRL day.

    • Although they rotate per day, you can still choose to reroll them for a high cost of gold and fame.

      • This cost decreases as the day goes on.

  • Modifiers can be specific to the current girl or generic.

    • They can change the game's basic mechanics, while others alter the girl's moveset.

NEW ENEMIES

  • Dannie n Debbie(Coast)

Dannie & Debbie can be quite good at what they do, pray that you don't find out what it is.

  • Elena(Coast)(Shemale)

Elena shows that working out can be great for increasing your own resistance.

OTHERS

  • Added a new scene to Jasmine

  • Added a new Bad Ending: Dannie n Debbie

  • Added 2 new Techniques: Deep Breath, Melt

  • Added 1 new Achievement

  • Added all Coast enemies to the Tower

  • Added a kissing sfx

  • Reworked Proficiency Training formula

    • Training is now much less punishing for players when they earn a very low score.

    • The new formula takes your previous proficiency into account, resulting in a much linear increase.

BALANCE STUFF

  • Decreased Reckless Hit Technique Damage 80% PROF > 50% PROF

  • Decreased Last Resort Technique Damage 100% PROF > 60% PROF

  • Last Resort Technique now depletes AP

  • Reduced Caroline base INT check 20 > 15

  • Increased Jasmine Armor 20 > 25

  • Reduced Jasmine CON check base value

  • Reduced Jasmine CON check multiplier value

  • Dodging minigame is now slightly quicker

  • Charmed and Horny debuff no longer plays audio when stacking

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed enemy healing when armor is over 100%

  • Fixed Polly softlocking

  • Fixed Attribute checks rolling wrong numbers

  • Fixed Lost girl event crashing the game

  • Fixed Arena changing the Hero's name

  • Fixed resting at the Tavern not removing Tired debuff

  • Fixed Bianca black screen

Played the new version for a bit. Didn't get to the new content or balance stuff, but I have a few random comments. I failed the first temptation check in the lost girl event, after which we found city right away, and so I entered the city with a masturbating debuff. It persisted until the next fight, where I had to remove it as normal at the start, with lust check. Probably a bug. If I defeat a girl late in the day, the lab counter doesn't seem to the next day. This discourages encounters with the girl in the last time slot, I feel. I wonder if it would be interesting to give fairy all minigames, and make her do a random combination of them? Something odd is happening with the tavern damage scaling. It was dealing crazy amount of damage with 0 addiction and 0 corruption, but using the seduce action once resets the damage to the previous levels. Finally, I haven't spent a lot of time with the new formula for training, but the minigame feels much faster now, on hard mode at least.

Noting down my attempts at improving my skill: 86 80 44% 22% total, skill is not improved. 75, 63, 23, 16% total, skill is not improved. 94 73 -2, 17% total, skill is not improved. 90, 80, 16, 17% total, skill is not improved. 88, 65, 44, 20% total, skill is not improved. 95, 74, 24, 20% total, skill is not improved Fuck this bullshit system. Fuck it so much. I'm not going to bother with this again I just play this vanilla, the encounters are very beatable without this garbage system at the very least

Did some further testing, and the new dodge on Kate is also very fast on a character with multiple queen's rewards, 50 days in. Regarding Bonnie and Nina, I used to not understand the fight, but now I lost to physical damage and after that switching was manageable. Is there some addiction check or something where they go into switching at the first turn? Because that's what I've mad multiple time, when it becomes like a 500 effective HP fight. Tavern damage oddity is more specifically when you have 0 of the specific addiction. If you have at least 1 of that addiction, the damage is as before, 5 times lower. Also spotted a small bug - attribute values, like attack, don't always update after you buy the 5-point queen's reward.

Hey Egypt, The lost girl event has been fixed, I will release a hotfix later today, thanks for reporting it. The last encounter of the day being discouraged is not really a problem, as this gives the player the option to visit the city at the end of the day without the FOMO a potion reward. Could be, I'll take a second look at this, but I also think this could be used in a new event Tavern damage can be confusing, if your addiction is 0, the damage is calculated based on the maximum lust (5% to be exact), which can really be counterintuitive, When I rework the tavern (which should happen soon) I'll think of a better way to deal with it, thanks for the heads up. Quick-time events (i.e. Dodging) scale with the number of days passed, regardless of the enemy. 50 days is a lot so it's normal for the QTE to be faster if your AGI isn't high enough Bonnie and Nina will immediately go to the switching stage if you haven't defeated Bonnie once, in fact, the entire difficulty of this boss is based on the number of times Bonnie has been defeated. I'll fix this Queen bug, thanks for the report

Hey Mini, you seem to be having problems with the last stage of the minigame, this also appear to be a tier 1 technique, so these results are as expected. That said, I understand that it can be frustrating not to progress through the game's new mechanics. I'm working on a way to improve techniques without needing to play the minigame

Fair points on new events and the last encounter on the day. Huh, given how much I grind tavern usually, I was sure that this was a new balance change that's just not being applied consistently. And thinking more, AGI was a bit on the low end for the run duration. I had low starting stats, on the third run, so I only got to 30% or so. Oh, so that how the boss works? I would've never figured it out myself. Thanks for the answers!

Just chiming in on the technique system. To me, it's not too bad especially once I realized it was related to tiers, I didn't read into the past update notes thoroughly so it was my fault on that. Maybe a way to make it better would be to make the next tier of a technique more available? Either through upgrades or maybe some shop mechanic?

Hm... Perhaps I should make things clearer and more intuitive, the whole tier/proficiency stuff can be quite confusing. I will try to provide more information in the Arena. The thing about Tiers being more reachable is that T3 and especially T4 techniques are too OP , especially taking into consideration that AP cost decreases as the tier/proficiency increases, so having too many T4 available can break the balance of the game. I developed this system based on the fact that a hero should have a maximum of 2 T4 throughout the entire run, more than that and things can get too wild too fast. What I mean is, you're not supposed to have too many techniques with high Tiers, T2 should be the stopping point for most of them.

Hello, the game is great; it would be even greater if combat could be played easily with one hand, for reasons--to that end, I have some suggestions: - techniques could be selectable in combat by numbers, if possible - minigames such as Dodge and Overwhelm could be played using spacebar or maybe even any key input rather than mouse clicking exclusively - Overwhelm could have a setting to be button-held rather than buttons-mashed (I see this option in lots of temptation-focused femdom games, such as Succubus Academia) Mouse input is efficient and good for things like City and Camp navigation, but can be a little more disruptive during the sexy parts of the game (opinion).

Hi Heaven, it is possible to change the QTE button from Mouse to Spacebar in the options menu, but you are right, there should be a way to use techniques with a numeric key, similar to menu choices

Controlling the game with hotkeys (numbers) is great. Would be convenient if the Techniques submenus also had hotkeys (numbers). When using techniques in combat, the upper Technique could be 1, the next 2 and so on. 'Back' could be the first available number, or just '0'.
