It's getting harder and harder to find the sound effects I want. Maybe I should cut them into a separate file and alphabetize them. (For the curious, I do all the panels and lettering in Illustrator)

Wow, that's a lot XD Alphabetizing does sound like a good way to organize those.

I didn't know that 'jiu-jitsu' actually sounded like itself. Mind, I can see someone getting swept off their feet to subsequently land on their behind, and that sound effect then being applied to it. o.o

I'm not completely sure where the problem is so I may be wrong, but I'd suggest organising them by theme (fight, movement...) in layers of the same AI file then putting sublayers in each main theme for the subthemes (punches, kicks, slaps, bodys hitting surfaces...) and only then alphabetising them.
