I don’t see any way to sync my copy to yours. I have the DVD sets and Hulu’s version of these episodes have been edited (scenes removed) and previously-on video added to the beginning of each episode. Without any video of the actual start of the episode I have no way to know when to start my copy and without being able to see anything, there will be no way to stay in sync.

I support a lot of Buffy reactors and only one of them does watch along. That reactor provides an obscured view of the video so it’s possible to re-sync as we go along. With so many different edits of the show over the years, watch-along just isn’t a thing in the Buffy reactor world.

Hey Darrell, Thanks so much for the feedback and for the support! For the Watch Alongs for season 1, we actually always provide roughly 8 Seconds of footage when we countdown to start the episodes, so you will always see where we start. We also have added footage every 5 min in the watch alongs to help see where we are in the episodes. Moving forward for season 2 we are going to add the whole episode with a blurry filter on which we hope can also help! For Buffy, since Hulu seems to be the common streaming service everyone is using we will be using that service for the watch alongs. We have disclosed what version we are watching in every watch along. Hoping this helps and that you stick around for our Buffy journey. Let me know if you need anything or have anything questions!
