Thank you for adding the video cues. Hyenas are top predators and will also not hesitate to drive big cats like lions and leopards off their kills. It's a big reason why leopards drag their kills into trees. SMG had a brown belt in Taekwondo when she was cast as Buffy and then went on to get her black belt. She also studied kickboxing and street fighting so she could do as many of her own stunts as possible. I believe emanations from the Hellmouth cause people to forget what they see or rationalize what they don't forget. There are to many deaths and weird occurrences to explain otherwise. I often wonder about the mental trauma the other students had when they realized they are the principal. The show can go pretty dark sometimes but that in particular gets to me.
