Deep Cut: the high school friend who calls Cordy at the beginning is named Aura, which is one of the names of the girls from the first Buffy episode who made fun of Buffy's name before finding a dead body in their locker (Aura and Aphrodisia). Possibly a coincidence, but Buffy writers really loved their Easter Eggs.
