Update from Film Production Intern Calum (Patreon)

Hello Patrons!

Calum here, it's been a little while since my last update but I'm back to let you all know what I've been getting up to.

As you can see I found myself the other side of the lens this month, as I was asked to model the Fury Tanker Jacket, badged as Brad Pitt’s, for some promotion shots. We recreated the iconic Fury image. I will leave it up to you to decide who wore it better!

It's been a very busy time at the museum recently with the build up to Christmas in full swing. The media department have been hard at work, most notably with the annual Christmas advert which I was involved in the production of. However, unlike the regular Tank Chats, where it's a maximum of 4 people involved, the Christmas advert had nearly 20 people on set at the same time which made things much more complicated. Despite this it went very smoothly and we were able to edit and release it in time! Make sure to check it out as its very entertaining watching David Willey make a cameo as Santa.

We've also been preparing for the new exhibition by moving all the vehicles out of the Tank Factory to make way for the new ones. One of which was my personal favourite tank; the Swedish S-Tank. I got the chance to get up close and personal as Swedish Tank Museum Director: Stefan Karlsson helped our workshop guys get the S-Tank running so it was able to be driven over to the VCC for storage. It was very impressive to watch and film.

Finally, I have been taking lots and lots of photos of vehicles which have been moving into the new exhibition, such as our A7V replica and our newly painted Type 59. I'm very much looking forward to the new exhibition opening as its looking like it'll be one of the best, so do try to come and visit us once its unveiled!
