Another interesting episode, with an excellent demonstration of ground pressure on a soft surface! What are the chances of The Tank Museum getting any of the early Soviet tanks i.e. T-26 and BT series? Also I'd love to see the SU-76 up close!

Regarding Warren's question (at 19:05) about the number of German tank divisions increasing but with the same overall number of tanks prior to the start of Operation Barbarossa: this covered well in Boris Kavalerchik's book "Tanks of Barbarossa" which details that during the invasion of France the Germans realised that the proportion of tanks to infantry was too weighted towards the tanks and adjusted this (to good effect) in preparation for the invasion of the Soviet Union. I hope that helps!

Thanks for another very enjoyable Q&A David, always look forward to the email link dropping in my inbox, good stuff. What is your opinion of the problems we seem to be having with the development of the Ajax family of vehicles which I believe were supposed to have replaced Warrior and Bulldog by now? I've seen various articles referring to serious problems with the basic design and even vehicles being built with unparallel sides so components won't fit. I find it hard to believe that the situation is so poor that politicians have suggested scrapping the whole programme and starting again or buying something off the shelf, would appreciate knowing what you know about this. Thanks again.
