Hi patrons

Happy New Year! I hope everyone is well and has had a good holiday

Not much has changed since my last update still working two days a week at Abelcraft, which I’m enjoying.

At the museum, I’m working alongside Bob on the Churchill doing some small jobs that have been waiting for some time.

These include making brackets, trunking for all the instrument wiring, making sure doors and hatches are opening and closing, and most importantly, locking without too much of a fight.

This can involve just oiling locks and hinges, but in some cases having to take the whole mechanism apart. So although not terribly mechanical, it’s essential maintenance and keeping me busy.

My apprenticeship is coming to an end now only eight months left, depending on when I get put forward for my exams and assessments. So, goals this year, obviously to pass my assessment and exams, fingers crossed.

Make some good progress with my project Land Rover when I find the time, as I will be putting all my spare time into my assessment and ultimately passing the apprenticeship!

So again wishing you all a much safer year and wish me luck,
Aaron
