I’ve a quick question regarding the operation of the 2’’ bomb thrower on 6 pounder and QF 75mm Valentine turrets. On earlier 2 pounder turret versions the bomb thrower was operated from within the tank and fired through a hole in the mantlet. On the 6 pounder and QF 75mm turrets there are two bomb throwers mounted externally on a bracket. I cannot work out how these would be safely operated from within the turret (I cannot see any holes in the turret for wires or cables, for example) and would be grateful for any information you may have regarding their use.

Hello Mr. Willey. How does one repair WW2 tank armour after suffering penetrating and non-penetrating hits?
