TOG II* (Patreon)
Content
For many years TOG II* was a curiosity at The Tank Museum, a survivor of an unsuccessful development programme, and perhaps most famous for being the heaviest vehicle in the Museum. Recently however, thanks to World of Tanks, it has seen a surge in popularity. The single TOG II was completed in March 1941. Trials and tests continued until 1944, when the project was finally abandoned. Although it’s a distinctive vehicle, it hasn’t always looked like it does today. This is the second of its three turrets, armed with a 3 inch 20cwt gun. The current turret was fitted in 1942 and is armed with the 17 pounder.
