A WW1 Luger Pistol has been donated to The Tank Museum by the local Wiltshire Police, handed in during a firearm surrender. An inscription in the holster, reads ‘Souvenir of the Big Advance at Cambrai November 1917’. Given the significance of the Battle of Cambrai, to The Tank Museum, this donation is of real importance to the collection.

I hate that firearms get destroyed. Collectors want them for their collections. Oh no, we confiscated this and we need to destroy it. BTW, we need more money from tax payers, could we get more money to continue to take these instead of selling them to fund our department and other things?
