Hello Patrons,

I have now been creating content here at The Tank Museum for ten months as part of my internship, in which I am grateful to be doing what I love every single day. I am thrilled to announce my initial one year internship has been extended another year, so thankfully my time is not yet coming to an end.

Recently, I have been working on editing ‘Tiger 131: A Twist in the Tale’ starring Kate Adie. This project was by far the most challenging I have worked on during my time here. This was due to it involving multiple camera and lighting setups, the vast amount of research needed from the archives and working alongside our graphic designer to put the final film together.

I have particularly enjoyed editing the new Tank Museum advert these past few weeks. Working alongside a local production team, we have produced a series of fly through shots of the entire museum using a stabilising gimbal and a drone. I have then been able to piece together this footage to create the illusion of a single shot. This project has massively developed my editing skills, including the use of speed ramping, colour grading and masking.

Tank Workshop Diaries has been an amazing series to work on alongside the producer, Matt, who has taught me a vast amount of camera skills during the filming of these episodes. We have been receiving so many fabulous comments on Youtube, specifically regarding the camera work and pace of editing, which we really do appreciate. It is amazing to be exploring the new workshops and even walking under Tiger 131 as the oil is changed! This has really made me appreciate what an amazing opportunity I have here at the museum.

Thank you to every single Patron for supporting The Tank Museum, I can really see first-hand how your support positively impacts individuals here at The Museum and helps us to create this unique content.

Not only is the tank museums video content remarkable for its quality, the quality of the video *production* is far above of what one could expect from such a non-media organisation. It would be a credit to anyone. You’re doing a very good job; keep it up!
