(I apologize for any sort of incorrect info in the following, please correct me as needed) Could you comment on the use of the tank on the modern battlefield? As I understand it, as part of WWII, tanks were intended to house big guns that could take out stationary emplacements and other sort of bunkers, or to provide a level of mobility that infantry and cavalry could not reach. Further tank technologies were then developed to take on these tanks, and then even further technologies were developed to take on THOSE tanks. My point being, tank development seems like a closed loop - a self-fulfilling prophecy, if you will. With the advent of other technologies like helicopters, CAS, self-propelled artillery, infantry-carried explosives, and the like, what sort of use does a tank have on a modern battlefield?

Hello Tank Museum and David Wiley! I left a question on the previous Q&A video, but I was too late and so this video went live without it. The question was: "How much does it typically cost just to run a vehicle at the museum? From mundane activity like rearranging a hall exhibit to full on TankFest/Tiger Day, what is the difference in cost and other maintenance that happens depending on how long the vehicle is run?" If you don't mind, I also have a follow-up question that I sprouted this month as well. A relatively minor one: "What vehicle does the Tank Museum have most interest in acquiring for themselves?" I hope to see these two questions answered on the next one! Thanks again!
