UPDATE - Delaying Some Episodes + Vimeo Explanation (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone, been a little while since I've posted an update. As you can tell, I've been a bit backed up over past couple weeks when it comes to videos. Unfortunately this all caught up to me today as I've been too sick to record videos in the past day or so.
I was originally going to fight through it and keep uploading, but I'm already behind as it is and want to focus on getting back to uploading on time. So I'll be delaying Wednesday's episodes of One Piece, Thursday's episodes of Monogatari + Gintama, and Friday's episodes of JoJo's + March Comes In Like a Lion.
So One Piece Episodes will be back starting Saturday, Monogatari + Gintama will be back on Monday, and JoJo's + March Comes In Like a Lion will be back on Tuesday. Sorry for doing this so suddenly, but I am completely burned out at the moment and need a couple days to recuperate. Hopefully everyone understands, and I'm guessing most of you will be okay with it if it means I'm able to get back into a stable uploading schedule.
I've been toying around with giving out discounts for next month as compensation for the jumbled upload schedule recently, but Patreon somehow doesn't have that feature yet. I'll think of something though!
As for the next portion of this post, I'd like to explain why I've moved all of my reactions off of Vimeo. This is actually part of the reason why I've been so busy. A couple months ago, I was contacted by a Vimeo rep informing me that they had updated their TOS and that they were going to contact all accounts in the top 1% of bandwidth usage to upgrade to an enterprise account.
Since I am apparently in the top 1% (which is pretty cool, but not good in this case lol), they said that if I didn't upgrade my account would have to be terminated. I replied asking for a price quote since the price is dependent on the amount of bandwidth used for each account.
So here's the kicker: The price they gave me for an enterprise account is $11,300 USD per year. Needless to say, I cannot afford to pay $15k Canadian Dollars per year to keep my videos on Vimeo. So because of that, my account is set to be terminated in the next couple weeks, and I'm now left with about 1000 videos that I have downloaded and need to upload somewhere else. I'm probably just going to put them all into a torrent or something so that they can be downloaded. If anyone has any ideas on how I should do that, please let me know!
So after being banned from Google Drive a couple years ago (and completely losing all of those videos), and now being terminated from Vimeo, I've decided to keep everything I post on YouTube. Because of that, I've had to be a lot more thorough with my editing to avoid copyright. Some of my reactions are becoming a lot shorter because of that, and I assure you I'm trying my best to keep my videos as long as they used to be.
So anyways, that's that. Honestly it seems to be for the better, since I am getting more views now that my reactions aren't being hosted from another site like Vimeo. It's just a lot more work to edit and upload the videos with YouTube's strict copyright system.
Also sorry for explaining this so late, but I wanted to make sure I had all of the information before posting. But thanks for reading, and hopefully this provided some clarification!
