And you have to keep in mind that the manga was even better. There have been so many unbelievable details left out that it makes manga readers sad. The past of Ray, the number of the mother, the secret books and one of the best farewell words to the children from Isabella of all time. Sadly, they have omitted that, so I just can not stand the adaptation well. The first arc of Promised Neverland in the manga is the best starting arc of all time for me. 35 chapters were adapted in 12 episodes. Glad you enjoyed it, but I think you would love the manga even more! XD I love also the farewell from isabella in the manga much more. So, here is the farewell from Isabella in the manga: I have no regrets. After all, this was the path I chose for myself. I can't change the world. What would my death do? If anything, I need to make the best of what I do have. I must provide all of the love inside me. I must let them live as long as possible(children). These children know nothing. He's no longer around(Leslie). I must live for myself...and to give purpose to Leslie's life. (Isabella then met Ray in the past and then he told her he was her kid).........Mom, why did you give birth to me? So that I could survive. I wanted to live. Longer than anybody else. I was unbelievable frustrated...to find out he had been killed. I can not do or change a single thing. And that's exactly why...I wanted to do the least I could...live...as a human they could not eat! But I suppose...it does not really matter anymore. This is my defeat. Those children have escaped. I am now a useless keeper who could not protect her own goods. Just now, all of my efforts to reach the top have been utterly destroyed. No matter how hard I try to capture those children again, I...maybe if I had kept crown around...If I had not let Norman see the other side of the wall that day...The results may have been different. The writing in this show really was something special. Really enjoyed watching this again with your reactions. Also, really glad Vinland Saga won the vote, it's good.

I don't know how blind you want to be for when you re-watch this show, but I've been wanting to tell you a hint that many people missed. Don't read any further if you plan on re-watching this and discovering everything you missed. So basically, Ray was humming that tune at the end throughout the entire show, and the Mom was the only other person that knew that tune. The show conditions you to recognize that song in the first episode when the mom hums it to Conney, but she rarely hums it again until the end. Ray is the only other person that hums it. I thought it was really cool how they did that.

This is exactly why I watch Anime before reading the manga. Can't be disappointed in an Anime adaptation if you don't know what the source material is. You might still watch some Anime that are overall bad, but you won't have the disappointment of stuff missing from the manga.
