Alright guys, episode 148's reaction should be up in around half an hour. After watching the episode, I've completely went back on what I said last time. We WILL be continuing with the manga. I'm not sure how many of you are interested in sticking with it, but I absolutely need to continue with the story.

It's not something we'd go through as fast as with the anime. The is partly because, AFAIK, there's only around 50 chapters out that go past the anime, and I don't want to go through it TOO quick.

With that being said; I have some questions for you guys:

What chapter should we start from?

Are there any parts that were changed that I should reread? (Besides the Gyro one, I read that chapter in the episode 148 discussion)

How many chapters a week would you think is appropriate (I would probably only do reactions to the series once a week)

Are there any other things you feel I should know before heading into it?

I'll make a post in probably a week from today outlining exactly what the plan is for the future!

In my opinion, one chapter a week is fine. That'd be up to par with what most weekly serialised manga reactors tend to upload/discuss. I'm really glad you are intending to follow through with the manga, just be warned it can get very text-heavy which is something the show was able to mask due to it's medium as anime. You will still have a lot to talk about every chapter and I also hope you review the HXH series as a whole - maybe arc to arc if that's easier. OH yeah, and what's happening about those analysis vids on Gon?

and I think the best way to format your reaction to the manga would be to state what page number you are currently on in the video, I've heard some ppl run into issues with uploading when pages are present on screen.

Chapter 340 is where you would start. Either 1 or 2 chapters a week is fine. I think the best way to format it is to simply read out loud, so that people kinda just read along with you in another tab and there is no need for any of the manga to actually be on screen.

I think 2 chapters a week is good. 1 chapter a week would mean almost a year to catch up, which sounds kinda long. 2 chapter a week for 6 month sounds a lot better. And yeah, its probably best to read the chapter out loud.

start from chapter 340, there aren’t really any differences big enough in the manga to warrant re-reading anything imo. if you’re doing one reaction a week, two chapters per video seems reasonable, because some are quick and others are very long and dialogue heavy. that’s really it, other than that i might recommend keeping some notes, given the next manga arc is the most information intensive in the series, but it’s up to you. I can’t wait :)

KasaiKouhai

start from chapter 340, if you can, please read the official translation by subscribing to viz for 1.99 a year, it gives you access to all chapters of all weekly shonen jump manga and more. it will be far better to read viz than a dodgy scanlation

Chapter 340*, one chapter a week, 2 tops. SO GLAD you changed your mind you're amazing man. Im legit so excited for you to continue your journey.

That's great news! Start with ch.340. You can also read ''Kurapika's Memories'', the special one-shot of Kurapika's past (it has 2 parts). IMO 2 chapters a week is fine since we won't be getting new chapters any time soon lol.

The only thing you should know is that once you catch up to the hiatus part, the withdrawal will hit you really hard....

Sloopgamer

2 chapters a week would be great. After that you should start to react to other manga series……...like Tokyo Ghoul?!?!? You MUST read the manga. It's on a whole other Level than the anime. And there are more Mangas you should also read!!

Don't read the manga, the current spot where it's at hiatus will break your patience. The Anime has a good stopping point, the stopping point in the manga will create a void within your soul.
