They showed the text for Feitan's speech because he was speaking in a very strange way. (Probably speaking backwards?) More importantly, it must be noted that Kalluto's reasons for joining was clearly stated. He said he was trying to retrieve his brother.

I thought that was pretty obvious. Though I understand why some reactors might get confused since that scene was kinda short and they were probably too focused on the fight. That, and they might also get confused since while Kalluto did basically say he joined the Phantom Troupe to retrieve his brother (Killua), we dont know how exactly joining the Phantom Troupe will help him do that, at least not yet.
