The 'I am a dire wolf' is actually from the original comic, though in the comic it was the demon fighting Dream, not Lucifer. (This is one of many elements I think the live series improved upon)

The oldest game is nice, half rap battle half battle of wits. Hope is not always a winner tho, it's just that Lucifer can't really beat that (more so in front of all demons) since his/her whole thing is about hope and dreams of the people suffering and even his own in a way. It is the indeed the same "Lucifer" from the TV series, even if they choose to go away from the graphic novel pretty quickly (still good tv!), you'll see at some point where both story linked together. The Endless are their own things, a little family embodying primal concepts. They ain't related to angel and demons.
