Your faces while watching this! I think all of us were the same...thinking wtf is going on! So funny! If you go back to the episode where Luci was planning his revenge, much of this episode was on the board and Lucifans have made lists of all the Easter eggs in this episode that referenced many past episodes with Dan and cross referenced them from those white boards back in episode 8. What are Lucifans like, eh? Always analysing and thinking things out. I think Chloe telling Lucifer about the collection of a Los Xs guy and said it was grunge work, I think that gave Luci the idea. We then saw Luci give Daniel a file but we don't know how long after his conversation with Chloe this was and obviously the Los X girl was a plant and not the original case. I think Luci would need some time to put this together. I also think some of those involved must have been actors as they weren't really the Russian mob etc...someone would have needed to get hold of the fake blood, guns etc and I love the idea that they rehearsed the shoot out some time at Lux with Luci directing! Hilarious! Dan probably mentioned 'the collection of another villain' to Chloe and she was apprehensive because of the corrupt cop he used to know. She wouldn't suspect it was all a set up, I think. It was a deliciously funny episode and that final line was classic! If you watch again, you will join many of us who re-watched to try to find all the Easter eggs!

This episode is so much better on the re-watch when you spot all the easter eggs from their previous cases. And you can finally make sense of the weird acting choices of pretty much everyone involved :D The easter-eggs that I spotted are: Los x: Dan and Maze already had a run-in with that particular gang when they turned up at Los X's head-quarter to try and find the killer of two ex members. Dan wakes up naked: Maze knocked him out and left him naked at Chloe's house in S1 A girl escaping right under Dan's nose - season 3 bonus episode The head in the box - in season 2 there was a box delivered to Daniel with a severed head the russian mob - Lucifer and Dan went to the bath-house together and later Maze and Dan set a guy up to get taken by the russian mob The dog - in season 3 Luci and Dan worked a case together with an award winning dog The whole "how do I look?" "Pretty good actually" part. This is the exact same dialogue (only with a role reversal) from season 1 when Dan rushes to Lux to save Luci from Malcom The poison - when Chloe got injected with a poison and the whole team worked together to find the antidote The celebratory pudding fountain at the end - pretty obvious. Dan loves pudding! The improv group - Dan and Luci had their first real heart-to-heart after improv in season 2 Maze throwing herself in front of Dan like Charlotte did to protect Amanadiel in s3 The role of the Bookkeeper - in s1 Dan came to check on Lucifer's books for the club (and got knocked out by Maze) The truck crashed into the car from the same side as with Chloe's car in s2 Then the posters in Dan's apartment. "Weaponizer" = Luci and Dan both love those movies and worked a case surrounding the actors of that movie in s2. "The Plunge" is a callback to s3 where the producer is using those movies to launder money for a drug cartel Those are the ones that come to my head right now. But there are probably more that I just can't think of right now. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes (and my most ever re-watched episode of Lucifer). oh btw, when you look at Lucifer's revenge board he drew in 5x8 there are actually some of the ideas he ended up using on there. Like "he hates dogs", "severed head in a box" or "Tijuana" and even a drawing (or rather a graph) of a car crash. Lucifer planned this whole thing for a very long time. He didn't just start when he saw the file (that was already part of the plan)

Haha those are great I can’t wait to check them all out….I tried telling John it was planned the whole time…it took a bit of convincing but I finally got him onboard hahaha

And don’t forget the pink Cadillac(?) that Dan’s bike crashes into is a copy of the almost “victim’s” car in the Sinnerman episode.

I believe Lucifer planned the whole extradition thing way in advance, including the file coming up when it did, and he was able to subtly nudge (manipulate) the situation in being able to give it to Dan. With the weeks of planning Lucifer took to put it together, he would not be able to assemble all the characters and situations if it was only after Chloe got the file and he took advantage of the opportunity then.
