I’ve actually read one of those books (Midnight Library), Klara and the Sun I’m interested in reading at some point, will I ever? And haven’t heard of the other one. Interesting! Okay on with the actual reading list… (written by me).

Explaining my 40s to my 30s - another Anna Akana one! I can’t even imagine what I’ll be like in my 40s. I feel like so many stories are written about 20s/30s and there’s so much cultural imagination around those decades and then after that… I don’t really know what happens. My mum said to me the other day “as you’re approaching 40…” I’M 31 YEARS OLD. I’m not approaching 40 yet! But it’s weird to think that 40 is my next decade birthday. I can’t even picture it.

Bluey, but it’s just Bandit committing to the bit - this was recommended to me and I love it. Bandit is the dad in Bluey. It’s a kids’ show. It’s amazing.

Why My Husband Won’t Be On This Channel As Much Anymore - I’ve always loved the open conversations that Shan and Jared have about their relationship for her audience to see but now he’s stepping back from her channel and she’s trying new things. A lot resonated with me in this video about family and privacy and youtube and creativity, I ended up sending her a big long text after I watched it. It feels like we’re trying to figure out this new mum/youtuber life and it’s nice to have someone going through a similar thing who I can talk to.

The Real Difference Between YouTube and TikTok - I saved this a while ago and for a second I couldn’t actually remember what the difference is that Hank explains in the video. But it’s about whether you choose to watch something (youtube) or you choose to keep watching something (tiktok) - I think I got that right? May have to rewatch that video lol.

“men are trash” is trash - this video reminds me of Rowan Ellis’ video The Problem with “Google is Free” Activism. There’s definitely some cross over and it’s interesting!

I haven’t been listening to any podcasts recently because all my time has been spent on audiobooks! I’m on book 4 of the stormlight archive and I did a re-read/listen to Daisy Jones & the Six!
