Hi Hannah. I’ve been fascinated by your openness about your Ostomy & Stoma. I’ve had mine going on 41 years. I am a total “extrovert” except when it comes to my surgery & apliance. I’m sure U R a “role model” to a lot of Ostomates. I have made visits for 2 medical centers to patients who either had surgery or were contemplating surgery in support. I hope U R doing the same. I STILL can’t show portions of my appliance (ie.. bag) out the top of my pants. As I’m sure with U too, people have no idea we have this surgery unless we tell them or show them, & I like keeping it that way. People seem 2 treat us differently if they see we have had surgery.

FYI..... when I had my surgery, doctors were addament that it wasn’t hereditary. They were ALMOST right. My son is fine., but my brother & BOTH his boys have had the surgery. The boys R 31& 28.
