First, welcome to the swell of viewers who joined the Patreon. Thanks for your support! I wanted to assure everyone I'm still here. I did not cut-and-run. I took a short break after the Marchintosh video, but, in that time, I visited a local Mac collection that went up for sale and a friend offered to release his Xserves to my care, that are being taken out of service in a couple months. So, things have been very active behind the scenes.

Some items of interest... a photo from Patron 'Basement Macs'. A PowerBook 170 that came with a third-party video-out upgrade. The upgrade card inside contains 4MB RAM and a connector for the external DB-15 video port.  Very cool! Can anyone help him identify who made it and when?

Also, YouTube's osgeld, who sent me proof that the 667MHz Digital Audio G4 tower did exist after I cast some doubt...

I told him that I heard they just put 733MHz chips in them to fulfill the early orders when they cancelled it, so he showed me the chip...

Ok, osgeld won that debate. He even offered it up for a video if I was ever passing through his town to pick it up. Very kind!

Lastly, some of the post-Marchintosh activity will play into the next Denfield Hoard video, so I look forward to sharing that on here.

Basement Macs

Thanks Linus! I’ll start searching through old issues of MacWorld to see if I can find anything on that.
