It seems like every episode, I have to harp on how terrible Damon is. I love that you guys called out how his character seems to NEVER have any consequences. His actions are forgotten by the next episode in this universe lmao. Every action has a reaction and every one of his actions are reason for him to have been killed by Lexi’s boyfriend. He had every right to set Damon on fire for killing Lexi without reason. Bree had every right to want revenge as Lexi was her friend. Everywhere Damon goes, a path of destruction and evil follows. It’s insane that not too long ago, we see him abuse and compel Caroline into being his lap dog and take her ability to choose away from her. He literally assaulted her. We saw him try to kill Bonnie because Emily wouldn’t allow the tomb to be opened so innocent lives are not destroyed. We saw him try to compel Elena like he did Caroline so that she could be in love with him. He’s responsible for Matt not having his sister anymore and everything that happened to Vicki. He killed Bree when he didn’t have to..Lexi’s boyfriend spared his life so there wasn’t a reason to kill Bree other than being vengeful for something he caused. Then you’ll have this constant contradiction in conversation about the show as some fans will overanalyze every small action and non action that Stefan does. Stefan’s opinion of Katherine is way different than Damon’s opinion of her. How do you tell someone that they’re adopted or that you saved them from dying? I think these are things that you have to carefully consider and it’s not easy. I think some might fault Stefan for being purposely mindful of how he relates these life changing details to Elena. I’ll get off my soapbox but I’m loving the Stelena love lol. We’re back..I like the dynamics between Stefan and Elena and I’m also completely here for scenes with Stefan and Bonnie. I’d love to see a blossoming strong friendship between them. I also can’t wait to find out more about Katherine and Elena and the connection between the both of them. We do get insight into this connection but I know there’s a lot more. I’m really mad about Bree because like y’all said..she was really cool. It’s unfortunate that we saw another unnecessarily murder by the hands of Damon. I love the porch scenes with Stefan and Grams as well..her seeing that she could trust him still and trust him to keep Bonnie safe. That was a great moment. Now to the Ric and Damon thing. How does one handle seeing the person responsible for killing your loved one? Damon leaves a trail of hurt wherever he goes and this should be interesting..seeing how this situation develops because she was Ric’s wife. We did get some huge reveals..going back to the Stefan saving Elena thing and him revealing that she was adopted. That’s a lot to process and I can see why he didn’t want to place this on her shoulders. He already feels this weight that he shouldn’t be with her because of him being a vampire and how this may affect her life. You see very normal choices and reactions to those choices by the both of them. I would love to see more Bonnie. I love that we had Bonnie in this episode as well as her grandmother. Bonnie really makes the show so much more interesting. Love the reaction! 💕
