A vampire just has to be invited in by the owner of the house. It doesn't matter what door it is. Once invited, the vampire cannot be uninvited unless the ownership of the house changes (like the owner moves or dies). But there is slight plot hole because since Elena and Jeremy's parents died, I imagine Jenna is the legal owner of the house yet Elena is able to invite them in. Damon was compelling Caroline and tried to do it with Elena. When a vampire does that it means they are able to make make the human do whatever they tell them to. If the human has vervain on them, which was on the necklace Stefan gave Elena, the compulsion doesn't work. Fun fact: The episode title is a nod to the football show Friday Night Lights. Zach Roerig (Matt) appeared on the show. And damn Corey is good with names!

When I was in middle and high school and watching this show off and on before stopping, Stefan was my favorite. Now that I’m in my 20s, and watching this show from the beginning…actually on a journey of watching every episode of every season, I can say that I’m still a Stefan girl. I’m happy to say that I am still very much anti-Damon lol and I love that it’s a general consensus with y’all as well. He’s the worst. I love the reactions to this show and how open everyone is to watching this particular genre of television. It’s very nostalgic for a particular era that is long gone. Teenage dramas are still around but they are catered to now which is great, but I enjoy the shows that came and went in this era in tv. TVDs was definitely a show that lasted a very long time and ended during the airing of the last remaining remnants of shows that had this type of feel. I miss shows like this. Maybe it is nostalgia talking but I do miss it. With that being said, I will continue to support this channel and patreon. It’s going to keep growing and growing and y’all deserve it. 🫶🏽
