It's always interesting to see your reactions! I didn't watch this movie when it came out, and I'm glad it showed up on the channel so it gave me an opportunity to watch it. There is a lot of talk lately about how audiences approach complicated and flawed characters, antiheroes, people who don't exactly redeem themselves. And this is a challenging movie. I think it asks us to *understand* who these people are and why, rather than *agree* with them. I think that's an important emotional stretching to be able to make. Not exactly empathy, but an understanding of someone who doesn't do what we would do, and we don't really agree with, but have the opportunity to get to know in depth with the story. As always, great and thoughtful discussion; and I like that you are bringing some diversity in genre to the channel and not becoming just a horror reaction channel.
