Born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba Geovanis Palacios currently lives in Taubate, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He trains out of Vale Top Team with a few other solid prospects. He won twice as an amateur going 2-0 and is now 5-0 as a pro. Palacios is a stud Cuban wrestler that's been an interesting prospect. He had an extensive background in wrestling and also did some kickboxing as an amateur.

Palacios has been an excellent wrestler in MMA. Palacios is the type to provide us with some big elevated takedowns. You don't see the level of takedowns too much in MMA like Palacios posses. He sends guys airborne legs over head that seems very effortlessly. It's not effortlessly though as Palacios has insane strength.

He's solid when he gets the takedowns. Palacios has heavy damaging ground and pound that he actively rains down. He's strong in positioning making it tough for guys to get out from underneath. His striking is definitely raw but he hasn't had to use it yet. If he ever does have to use it he may be in trouble. Palacios is worth watching but he absolutely may be a bust.
