Frenchman Jordan Zébo (2-0) caught my eye in his last performance for Ares FC. Not a great start to his career, Zebo went 3-3 as an amateur. You can see the improvements in his career where training with the MMA Factory has improved him a lot. On the feet, Zebo is highlighted with light movement and leg kicks. What really stands out is the high-impact takedowns. Zebo's ability to get underneath the legs and slam guys down is powerful. Last night he showed he can do that for three rounds. Along with strong wrestling, Zebo has good jiu-jitsu. I really like Zebo but he does need more experience.

Reginaldo Junior (5-0) when you are looking into him you notice most of his fights hit the mat. He shoots a lot of takedowns and three wins of his come by submission. Junior actually has a kickboxing background with a record of 19 wins and only one loss. He's a purple belt in jiu-jitsu and has been active in small grappling competitions as well. On the mat, he's a strong submission grappler. He's a threat from on top or the bottom. Junior is a power puncher who has decent movement. He's a work in progress and at only 23, the sky is the limit. I'll have him featured in a big piece on Cageside Press that should be out soon.

It's been an up-and-down career for Welshman Oban Elliott (6-2) thus far. It could be said the two times he's had a step up in competition he lost. First, it was to Michal Figlak and then Madars Fleminas. He did kindly break the barrier with a win over Matthew Bonner. When I first watched Elliott when he was 3-0 it was wrestling and grappling winning him the fight. Elliott now uses his striking more to complement his wrestling. Especially in the clinch he does good work. He has some excellent jiu-jitsu gliding on top and is continuously looking for the finish. Some big ground and pound is also in his arsenal and that helps soften up the opponent to get the sub.
