Sebastian Szalay, I just learned about a few months ago. He's about to have the biggest fight of his career going for the Eternal MMA featherweight championship. He's going against Dimps Gillies who's a solid vet. He's got a karate style on the feet but tends to use his wrestling and grappling more. Szalay reminds me of a smaller Felix Klinkhammer. A win here would move him to 7-1 and a champ of a major promotion in Australia.

Murad Guseinov is a long-time amateur that won multiple medals in IMMAF including a 2018 junior gold medal. He mixes it up well but it's his submission grappling he showcases that's on another level. He's finally getting tested as a pro against Ruslan Serikpulov. Ruslan isn't great but he has a lot of experience. Guseinov is 7-0 and I expect him to be 8-0 after this weekend.

Harry Webb can wrestle and grapple and mixes it in nicely just to show he can do it all. Webb has fantastic striking skills. His attending to the body while mixing it into combinations is superb. Webb uses a lot of feints and subtle moves to find striking lanes. For someone that's just 4-0 as a pro, he's already a seasoned striker. It's not just his hands at all. Webb uses every weapon in his arsenal throwing kicks, knees, and elbows. Webb is the future of the lightweight division.

Luis Elias is a dog that you wanna put money on if you like to gamble. He's a cerebral striker that attacks every part of the body. He does a great job mixing up his striking patterns and keeping his opponent guessing. Elias is constantly throwing in at least two. He'll go hook to the body to a leg kick and loves to go body-head. He likes to use those elbows as well on the inside. His style will remind you of UFC's Daniel Barez. Elias is nearing 32 so he can't afford to lose.

Cody Linne is the current APFC flyweight champion who's 8-1 winning six in a row. Linne isn't the most technically pretty fighter but is dangerous at all times. He can end the fight at any moment in any position. His striking is coming along but his ground game is solid. He will accept bottom position but it's because his guard is so good. Linne throws nasty elbows off his back and constantly throws his legs up for submissions. You definitely don't want him on top as he uses his length to attack submissions.

Eliezer Kubanza was a two-time IMMAF Africa Championships gold medalist. There are some questions about his ground game but on the feet, his striking is the real deal. If he doesn't turn out to be any good he will at least be very exciting to watch. He's a welterweight that's 5-0 but tough to find footage on. He still has a lot of hype behind him and was rumored to fight on the contender series this season.

Vinny Dias hasn't fought in over two years so it's glad to have him back because he's a good prospect. He trains out of Niagara Top Team with the likes of Jasmine Jasudavicius and Aaron Jeffery. Dias was a flyweight champion as an amateur and now fights at bantamweight where he has found a lot of success. I wanna see how he looks after this layoff to see if he's still the same fighter or not.

David Mgoyan is staying active just having fought two months ago. I like the move since I think his last fight ended with a doctor's stoppage. Mgoyan is a legit wrestler. He can get takedowns along the fence and in space. Often you'll see him riding the hips and just throwing his opponents around. He throws some active heavy ground and pound and will take the neck if it available. On the feet, he throws good kicks. He's not as good but he's comfortable there and doesn't do anything notably wrong. Very excited for this 4-0 featherweight.

Michele Oliveira was a talked about prospect in 2020 when she was 2-0. She was also an undefeated amateur and an IMMAF world champion. She's a BJJ black belt with a lot of success in the sport. When she suffered that one loss she's quietly improved her record to 4-1. It's hard to have faith in the primary BJJ fighters but Oliveira can be something. This will also be her first fight at flyweight usually fighting at 115.

Yuki Angdembe is a prospect from Nepal I only knew of because of his loss to Luke Riley. He did lose but that was his pro debut and has won four since. From what I found on Angdembe I was impressed. He throws good straight punches and is a quality kickboxer. I worry about his takedown defense but he can at least grapple. The only problem is he has to beat better fighters because it's not been great. He has the it factor which is odd to say at this point in his career. I got a good feeling about this bantamweight.

Zurina Turrey is someone I had to get familiar with at the beginning of the year and her tape was fun. She brings the firefight every time. In what she lacks in technique she brings pressure and pace. What helps her is she's fighting at bantamweight/featherweight which is in desperate need of new fighters. She'll look to go to 5-0 against a 1-1 fighter but her last two wins are over better fighters.

Brandon Holmes, I didn't know of before today but I like his style. He's a compact striker who throws power hooks on the inside. He likes to use short elbows and knees to mix it up. On the outside, Holmes chops at the leg and goes up top every once in a while. Holmes also seems to have a pretty good gas tank for the amount of power he puts into his shots. We really need middleweights and we may have a good one here.
