About Setsuna. He was having one hell of a childhood, which turned him into quiet, introverted, and wholeheartedly against war at a very young age, also unable/unwilling to connect with others. In season 1, His traumatic view about war always drives His emotions when it comes to stuff like philosophical clashes with Marina Ismail or hatred toward Ali al-Saachez to the point that He is unaware of risking his identity and celestial being secret to outsiders. This side of Him slowly changes as His character progressively gets more mature and opens up to other characters as well as accepting compassion from them. About the news reporter’s brother and His blonde girlfriend. Saji and Louise. They will have a central role in season 2. These two characters are just being built up in this 1st season. My personal interest about Saji and Louise is that they always live in the comfort/innocence part of the world which is in contrast to Setsuna's life until the moment when they face a near-death experience in episode 5, a terrorist attack right in front of them in episode 7, and more to come for them.
